After leaving school in 1989 and a brief but memorable stint in Her Majesty’s Royal Air Force I joined Alexander Consulting Group (now Aon) in 1990 where I did exams in Qualification in Pensions Administration (QPA) and mainly dealt with Final Salary Scheme calculations. I moved on in 1994 to a Bradford based IFA, Sydney Packet (Life & Pensions) Ltd where I crossed paths with Phil Hirst. I worked there for nearly 11 years until I left in 2005, not long after they merged with Yorkshire Investment Group (YIG) in their Leeds office. I joined Beaumont Robinson in Bradford shortly afterwards, where I met Russell and Jonathan. I continued my administration role here as one of the key adviser support team and completed my Financial Planning Certificate qualifications before I started my current role in February 2011 as a Technical Administrator and now Administration Manager. I have many years’ experience working with Financial Advisers dealing with a wide range of client needs which will help me develop my Technical role.
